Come and join us
Volunteers are central to what Urban Hope does and we are always on the look-out for new people to help us run sessions or do some of the behind-the-scenes work that those sessions depend on.
We need volunteers to work alongside youth workers in building positive relationships with young people, acting as role models and providing positive activities. This generally involves giving 2.5 hours a week to help out at one of our evening youth club sessions.
But we also need people to help with the practical aspects involved in running a project like this including:
-running errands e.g. collecting food donations or picking up equipment that people have given us
-working in the kitchen, chopping, cleaning, washing up
-offering admin support/designing leaflets or flyers
-lending a hand at one-off events like fireworks night
-making introductions to people we might be able to work with
This isn’t an exhaustive list; whatever you feel you can offer, it all helps us make an impact on the lives of young people in our community. Perhaps there’s something you’d like to bring to Urban Hope? We love hearing new ideas so please tell us about it.
If you’d like to get involved please contact Joy@urbanhope.co.uk to arrange a chat.
All volunteering is subject to a successful DBS check.
