How we protect your data

Personal data is any information about a living individual which allows them to be identified from that information (for example, a name, photograph, video, email address or address). In order to work with young people, volunteers and visitors, and meet our safeguarding requirements, Urban Hope is required to store personal information.

The processing of personal data by organisations, including Urban Hope, is governed by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), an important piece of legislation that protects your rights over the data that we hold. Our policies and procedures (set out below) will ensure that you can exercise these rights at any time.

Urban Hope is the youth work project of St Stephen's Canonbury and therefore we share St Stephen's data protection policy, which you can read here.

GDPR also requires that everyone who wishes to receive email newsletters from us gives their consent. Existing subscribers will be asked via email to confirm your consent and, if you have never been in touch with us before, you will be asked to give consent when signing up to our newsletter.
