Pain Perdu


  • Brioche Loaf

  • 350ml double cream

  • 50ml milk

  • Caster sugar

  • Cinnamon

  • 2 eggs

  • Butter – for frying


Slice the brioche loaf into thick slices

In a bowl mix together double cream, milk and egg yolks. Then whisk in a healthy amount of sugar and cinnamon. Soak in the sliced brioche for a few minutes.

Heat a pan with butter. Fry the brioche slices turning both sides being careful not to burn them.

To serve you can add ice cream, or peaches.
